Platform guide

Everything PassIDy can do

Digital business cards, event ticketing, payments, and check-in — how to use every feature, whether you're an attendee, check-in staff, or running events for your team.

Account & profile

Getting signed in and keeping your profile up to date.

Create an account

  1. Register with email/password, or sign in with Google or LinkedIn SSO.
  2. Verify your email via the link sent to your inbox.
  3. Manage your profile, password, and linked SSO accounts under Settings.

Notifications

  1. Check Notifications for event reminders, payment receipts, and check-in confirmations.

Digital business cards

Build, share, and track your card.

Create a digital business card

  1. Go to Cards and choose a template, or start from a blank card.
  2. Add your name, title, company, photo, contact details, and social links.
  3. Publish — your card gets a shareable link and QR code instantly.

Share & track your card

  1. Share your card's link, QR code, or NFC tap with contacts.
  2. View analytics on your card — total views and when it was scanned.
  3. Scan other people's cards with the built-in QR scanner to save their details.

Events & tickets

Finding events, registering, and getting checked in on the day.

Browse & register for events

  1. Go to Events to see upcoming and live events.
  2. Open an event to view details, then register — paid events route through Stripe or Paystack checkout.
  3. After confirmation you receive a QR ticket, viewable any time under Event History.

Opt in to facial check-in (optional)

  1. On an event you're registered for, opt in with a selfie.
  2. Your photo is converted to a face match vector scoped to that event only — the photo itself is not stored.
  3. At the venue, a Ring device or staff tablet can then recognize and check you in automatically, no QR needed.

Payments & billing

How checkout, subscriptions, and invoices work.

Paying for a ticket or plan

  1. Checkout supports Stripe and Paystack — card payments in your local currency where available.
  2. After payment, a receipt is emailed and the transaction appears under your Billing history.

Subscriptions & billing

  1. Upgrade your plan under Billing to unlock more cards, team seats, or event capacity.
  2. View and download past invoices, and update your payment method at any time.

For check-in staff

Running QR or facial-recognition check-in at an event, via a Ring device or a laptop webcam.

Team dashboard

  1. View events you've been assigned to staff.
  2. Open an event to see its attendee list and check-in status.

Running check-in

  1. Open an event's Check-in screen.
  2. Pick a capture source: a Ring device camera, or your laptop webcam as a fallback.
  3. Switch between QR Code or Facial Recognition check-in — Facial is the default.
  4. Start Live Check-in — the view polls continuously and checks attendees in automatically as they're detected.

For corporate teams

Managing teams, Ring devices, and analytics across your events.

Teams & seats

  1. Invite team members under Team — assign them as check-in staff on specific events.
  2. Manage seats and roles for your organization's corporate plan.

Ring devices

  1. Onboard Ring devices under Ring Devices.
  2. Assign a device to one or more events so staff can select it on the check-in screen.

Analytics

  1. Track registrations, check-ins, and revenue per event under Analytics.

No Ring device on hand? Every check-in screen falls back to your laptop's webcam, with the same QR / Facial Recognition toggle — useful for testing or small events without dedicated hardware.
